Pumps

Flexible rubber impeller pumps are very well suited for beverage transfers except for beer. The impeller pumps come in various models for different applications. 1.5” connections are suitable for wine and juice whereas 2” and larger are suited for must as well as transferring larger volumes of wine and juice. Available in single and variable speed ( with inverter).

Progressive Cavity pumps are gentle on your must (2” size and up) and juice. The pumps are supplied with 220V/single phase/60Hz electrics. They come with an inverter and therefore will offer variable speed. The pumps have a bypass and come with Tri Clamp connections. With dolly on wheels.

A.O. Wilson offers peristaltic pumps. These pumps are used to transfer must, pomace etc. and are the most gentle type of pump for your wine. The wine or must is simply pushed through a rubber hose. There is no impeller. The product only comes into contact with the hose. The hose is periodically compressed and relaxed, thus pushing the product. The advantages of peristaltic pumps are delicate pumping preventing oxidation, shaking, emulsions, crushing of seeds and berries and no contact between the wine and mechanical parts.
